Customer Code of Conduct

Nancy C. Millan, Tax Collector for Hillsborough County, is committed to delivering amazing service experiences that empower our community, one customer at a time. 

To ensure safe, efficient and respectful service for all visitors and staff, every customer is expected to comply with the following standards of conduct when on premises. Failure to comply may result in refusal of service, removal from the facility, or contact with law enforcement.

  • Treat all staff and fellow customers with courtesy and respect. Hostile, demeaning, or threatening language will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Physical aggression, fighting, or threats of violence toward staff or other customers are strictly prohibited.
  • Verbal abuse, harassment, or intimidation of staff or customers are strictly prohibited.
  • Children must remain supervised at all times and refrain from running, climbing on furniture, or any other unsafe behavior while on premises.
  • Destruction or defacement of property or equipment is prohibited.
  • Unauthorized access to restricted areas, counters, or staff workstations is prohibited.
  • Cutting in line or holding spots for multiple individuals is prohibited.
  • Only authorized service animals permitted on premises.
