Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office Closed July 3 in Observance of America’s 250th Independence Day

TAMPA, Fla., June 29, 2026 – The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office (HCTC) will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. All office locations will reopen on Monday, July 6 for regular business hours.

“As America marks its 250th anniversary, we join communities across the country in celebrating our nation’s history and the freedoms we cherish,” said Tax Collector Nancy Millan. “On behalf of the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office, I wish everyone a safe, happy, and meaningful Independence Day.”

Online Services Available Around the Clock

Customers are encouraged to take advantage of HCTC’s convenient online services at HillsTaxFL.gov, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including during the holiday closure. Services available online include:

  • Motor vehicle registration renewals
  • Driver license and ID renewals (where eligible)
  • Property tax payments
  • Requesting a printed copy of electronic titles
